Easy & Fun Lunches for Kids

One thing I do every single day of the school year? Pack my kids’ lunches! Since I’m doing this literally hundreds of times a year, I knew I needed to upgrade my lunch-making station—not just to make life easier, but to also make lunch fun for my kids and for me! My goal is always to pack something balanced and delicious while also adding a little extra magic so they get a smile when they open their lunchboxes.

Here are my must-have Amazon finds for making school lunch prep easy, efficient, and extra cute!

1. Lunch-Making Supplies

These little tools have completely changed the way I prep lunches! They help me cut down on time while making everything more fun and exciting for the kids.

Literally use almost all of these every day:

Sandwich Cutters & Sealers – My kids love Uncrustables, but they get expensive. These sandwich cutters let me make my own with any type of sandwich—PB&J, turkey & cheese, even Nutella! The shapes are adorable too.

Grape Cutter – This tool makes cutting grapes (and other small fruit) so quick and easy, plus it’s a must-have for younger kids.

Fun Shape Cutters – I use these to cut cheese, fruit, and even deli meats into fun little shapes. Such an easy way to make lunches instantly more exciting!

Food Picks – These cute little picks are perfect for holding together mini sandwiches, fruit, or cheese cubes. Just a little detail that makes lunch more fun!

Squeeze Bottles – These tiny bottles are perfect for packing sauces, dressings, and syrups without a mess. They’re a totally perfect for meals like DIY pizza or breakfast-for-lunch days.

Silicone Cupcake Liners – I use these inside bento boxes when I need extra dividers to keep food separate. Plus, they’re reusable and super easy to clean!

Mini Ice Packs – Perfect for keeping lunch fresh and cool!

2. The Best Lunch Containers & Boxes

I got a few different types of bento boxes so I always have a clean one ready to go. Having backups = one less thing to stress about! Here are my favorites:

Bento Boxes – These are perfect for keeping all the food separate and making lunch look organized and something my kids actually want to eat. The compartments make it easy to include a variety of foods without everything getting mixed together.

Thermos with Adjustable Divider – This thing is genius! It keeps food warm, which means I can send leftovers, pasta, chicken nuggets, and more. The adjustable divider is great for customizing space based on what I’m packing.

We’ve tried a lot of lunch boxes, and these are seriously the best! Grab yours HERE!

Easy Lunch Ideas My Kids Love

Once I had all my lunch tools in place, I started getting creative with meal ideas! Here are some of our favorites:

🥪 DIY Uncrustables – PB&J, turkey & cheese, or Nutella & banana, cut into fun shapes!

🍕 DIY Pizza Lunch – Mini pizza crusts, shredded cheese, pepperonis, and a squeeze bottle of pizza sauce. Add fruit and granola on the side!

🥞 Breakfast for Lunch – Greek yogurt, fruit, syrup in a squeeze bottle, plus mini pancakes and bacon. (I put foil at the bottom of the main compartment to keep everything separate!)

🧀 Homemade Lunchables – Cheese and meats (cut into fun shapes!), crackers, fruit, and a granola bar.

🍝 Warm Lunches in a Thermos – Leftover pesto pasta for my daughter, chicken nuggets with ketchup for my son, fruit salad, pretzels, and probiotic yogis.

Making Lunches Special & Stress-Free

These little Amazon finds have seriously changed my lunch-packing routine. The kids love their fun lunches, and I love knowing they’re eating meals that are both balanced and exciting.
